From the beginning of Feed the Hungry UK’s work, we have have strong ties with the country of Romania. Working around the country through various partners, such as the Bread of Life orphanage, to provide food and resources to children who are left abandoned on the door steps of these humble Christian establishments.  Despite being in the European Union, Romania is still tarred by its communist past. The cities have begun to thrive but many villages are left without running water, clean sanitation facilities or a regular flow of food…

Kenya Emergency Appeal

Heavy rains have hit south central Kenya, causing flooding across the region with more rain forecast. 17 people have been confirmed to have died as a result of the flooding. In the Kibera Slum, on the outskirts of Nairobi, floodwaters have swept through parts of the slum, destroying homes and leaving people walking through torrents of raw sewage as it gets swept up with the flood water. Prayer and Fasting for South Sudan

South Sudan is the newest country in the world, but it is also a country torn apart by civil war. Since December 2013 over 2.35 million refugees have fled South Sudan in to neighbouring countries. More than half of these have crossed the border in to Uganda where they are now housed in settlement camps like Kiryandongo, where Feed the Hungry provides meals for over 45,000 children through the schools and churches. Pioneering Food Packing in Churches

On Friday 9th February 2018, Feed The Hungry UK in partnership with ‘Life Rice’, held a church-based food and clothes packing event at Christ Church, East Greenwich. This pioneering event vent was hosted by the Rt Revd Dr Karowei Dorgu, Bishop of Woolwich and was the first time that food packing in this way had been held in a church in the UK. The food packing was surrounded with prayer, worship and fellowship, as 75 volunteers gave 3 hours for one evening, packing 10,000 meals for children in Burkina Faso….

Month of Prayer – February.

Hello. If someone should ask me what would be the most significant, impactful thing that has happened to me since joining Feed the Hungry in 2010, I would say it was making prayer my companion. You can read more here of how prayer has been answered again and again. Prayer has changed my life and I know that is the same for the whole team.​ That’s why I am calling all our friends and supporters to join us this February to pray for the work of Feed the Hungry UK….
