On 9th March 2019, we were contacted by our partner in Malawi, reporting widespread flooding in the southern regions. Over 125,000 people have been affected and lives have been lost.. Homes have been flattened by flooding and mudslides. Roads have been washed away. In many villages, the clean water supply has been contaminated by the pit latrines being flooded. Our partner, Praise Ijalasi, is already working on the ground, getting what spare supplies we have available there to those worst affected, but there are many more who need our help….

Volunteer Packing night for Syrian Refugees. 18 volunteers from the Warwickshire and hinckley area came to our warehouse Over a pallet of aid was sorted and packed – thats approx 60 banana boxes in the space of 2 hours. Partnering with Samaras aid – this aid will be going to displaced people in Syria In total Feed the Hungry volunteers have packed around 7 pallets of aid to go out to Syria of which all clothing and dignity items have been donated. On the 30th May, during half term, 43 people from the local Hinckley and Nuneaton area came together at Bosworth Country Park to take part in a sponsored walk organised by the charity Feed the Hungry UK. Walkers consisted of all ages and generations. This was all in the aid of feeding children facing extreme hunger and famine in other parts of the world. More than 93,000 refugees from South Sudan have fled to Uganda since December 2013. Rebel fighting within South Sudan has killed more than 10,000 and displaced over a million people. Earlier this year Feed The Hungry sent 13 containers of soy beans to North Korea to be grown and harvested by our partners to reduce food shortage problems and offer much needed nourishment.
