Kenya: Preparing for Coronavirus

Pastors Chris and Joanna Okumu are preparing people in Kibera for the possibility of a Coronavirus outbreak. Daily, they are going on to the street of Kibera to teach about the importance of hygiene and handwashing, in order to slow and prevent the virus from spreading. They are also distributing clean water to communities that don’t have a secure clean water source.

We are so grateful to everyone who has generously stepped up to support this work. We are encouraged by such kindness and compassion, especially at a time when there is so much going on here in the UK. We’re aware that whatever our immediate circumstance, we are still, as a nation, in such a privileged position compared with so many in the world.

Your gift today will ensure that we can keep providing clean water and soap, to help those in Kibera protect themselves against COVID-19.

I want to support the work in Kibera...

If you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax, your gift can be boosted by 25% at no additional cost to you, through the UK Government's Gift Aid scheme.

To make use of the Gift Aid scheme, you need to confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations to all charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) in any tax year that Gift Aid is claimed, it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

Please inform Feed The Hungry if you would like to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains. Feed The Hungry will try to claim Gift Aid on this donation and any previously made donations going back 4 years from today.
