Award winning, international recording artist, Sandra Godley, is widely known as one of the country’s leading contemporary gospel singers. She’s graced the stages of many national and international platforms, performed at The House of Commons twice, London’s iconic ‘Roundhouse’ for a Nelson Mandela celebration event as well as numerous appearances on various BBC/international radio/TV programmes.
She is also a Broadcaster and hosts ‘Saturday Afternoons with Sandra’, The Gospel Grooves show for UCB radio as well as ‘Live from the UK’ with FMW network’, an internet radio showing broadcasting to over 20 countries.
Sandra has been a Trustee for The ‘Albany Theatre’, in Coventry as well ‘Radio Plus’, a community radio station based also in Coventry, Sandra helped shape the organisation from the ground up which went on to successfully receive a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services, an achievement she is particularly proud of.
Her journey into radio has come quite naturally & sees her creating a platform not just to showcase other artists, but to also create a suite of inspirational programmes tackling subjects close to her heart eg homelessness, life skills and social justice. A path that has led Sandra to become an active Trustee for Feed The Hungry, organising concerts, and assisting in developing young women ministries and she joined the FTH team in an outreach ministry to South Sudan Refugees in Uganda in late in March 2017.
Sandra believes that music and the creative arts play a crucial part in the life of local churches. Her mission is help equip churches with the right tools to enable them to become more outward facing in their missional vision, whilst developing lifelong strategies for creative expression through music and the arts.
Sandra is an active Trustee and Advocate of Feed The Hungry UK.
