In August 2025, heavy rains caused severe flooding in Suceava County, hitting the town of Broșteni especially hard. Homes and roads were damaged, families displaced, and entire streets left under mud and debris. On social media, locals shared striking images of the damage – streets filled with mud and homes filled with water.

In the middle of this crisis, the team from Bread of Life Ministries stepped in quickly to provide practical help. The orphanage run by Bread of Life was unaffected and so was used to temporarily home displaced families and volunteers who had come from outside the area to help. Staff and volunteers started the long process of helping to clean and rebuild the town; in the midst of disaster, their presence offered comfort and hope to the community.
