Bolivia Flooding

In December 2025, the Espejo river near to El Torno, a short distance from Santa Cruz, burst its banks following extremely heavy rainfall. The resulting torrent of water washed away people and buildings. There have been 20 fatalities, with hundreds more who have lost homes and livelihoods.

While the waters have subsided, clearing up the destruction left behind and rebuilding is a slow process.

R Mission Bolivia, Feed The Hungry’s partner in Bolivia, have been working to help clear houses and land, digging away sand and silt that has been deposited by the flood waters.

Feed The Hungry is raising money to help R Mission Bolivia to respond to this crisis by providing food and water, and longer-term, bricks and construction materials to help rebuild people’s homes.

Gift Aid

If you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax, your gift can be boosted by 25% at no additional cost to you, through the UK Government’s Gift Aid scheme.

To make use of the Gift Aid scheme, you need to confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations to all charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) in any tax year that Gift Aid is claimed, it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

I confirm that Gift Aid can be claimed against my donation(s) by Feed The Hungry UK.

Please inform Feed The Hungry if you would like to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains. Feed The Hungry will try to claim Gift Aid on this donation, future donations and any previously made donations going back 4 years from today.
