Feed The Hungry’s mission is to take people on a journey from survival to significance. This looks different to different people, but the one thing that we believe is the same for everyone is the need for Jesus, and finding life in Him.
Warren Park is a suburb of Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. Every school day, across multiple sites, food is being distributed to the students attending schools in Warren Park. It’s a big operation but extremely well executed.
“We used to face problems whereby children would come from their homes hungry here to school. They couldn’t concentrate on their studies; they wouldn’t participate in sports”, explained Beverley, a student at The Rock Mountain Christian College. “But now because of the Feed The Hungry programme, we now have children participating in sporting activities, children concentrating in their classes.”
The Joseph Foundation, led by Pastor Elna Mukamuri, has been working with the schools in Warren Park for years, ensuring that there is food for the learners. But food isn’t the only thing that The Joseph Foundation shares.

Gwyn Williams, Executive Director for Feed The Hungry explained, “It has been a privilege to be able to share the Gospel with the young people at their School Church services on a number of occasions. At these services, there is such a sense of joy in their singing and attentiveness in their listening.”
In early-2026, a large mission event is being organised for the children attending Warren Park schools.
The Gospel-focused event is a Youth Festival to bless the young people in Warren Park, and to be able to share the hope Christians have in Jesus. Christian musicians and Gospel artists will be able to connect with the students and share their faith, and activities will be run by the local Church and Christian groups.
Gwyn continued, “This event will aim to bring the Gospel to life through acts of worship and celebration, and the sharing of the Good News of Jesus. We are very excited to be able to work with local ministers, Gospel artists and sports teams to make this an unforgettable time for children who would not usually have this sort of experience.”
