Isaac and Anali Butcher, with their two girls, have been working in Bolivia for the past 3 years – taking food and the Gospel to people living on the streets of Santa Cruz and to nearby villages. While they’ve been doing this, they have also been managing a large building project on a plot of land outside the city, which will be a support centre, home and intervention initiative for abandoned children who often end up on the streets.

Isaac shared, “Our mission is to be a family for abandoned children who are vulnerable. Working alongside Bolivian children’s services, we want to be family-focused, with an end target of promoting adoption and finding families who would like to adopt.”
Because of the size of the project, it’s taken considerable time, but Isaac and Anali have recently reached an important milestone in being able to apply for Charity status in Bolivia.
“Up until now, we haven’t really had a real address – it’s just been a building site”, explained Isaac, “but now the building has got to the stage where we can apply to be a charity in Bolivia.”
It is hoped that the project will obtain legal status, have major works completed, and that the building can open at the end of 2025.
“We can’t wait to see children coming through our doors and finding the much needed love and support they need.”
